UFC Betting Review:

I don’t know what it is but Japanese fighters suck in the UFC. Darren Uyenoyama came in as a big UFC betting underdog and beat one of the legends in Japanese MMA in Norifumi Yamamoto. Uyenoyama out grappled Yamamoto and made the Japanese fighting legend look bad to his a unanimous decision.


TUF finalist DaMarques Johnson came in to box with Clay Harvison and he dominated Harvison with a brutal jab and left hook that send Harvison down to the mat for  a first round TKO.


Cub Swanson’s UFC debut was not a good one as he was submitted by Ricardo Lamas. Swason dominated the first round with superior grappling but in the second Swason got careless and Lamas capitalized on an arm triangle submission.


Ben Henderson and Clay Guida faced off and the winner would get the next shot at the lightweight title versus Frankie Edgar. The first round was back and forth as moth fighters came out swinging and both fighters landed power shots that send each other down.  The second and third rounds very also very frantic but in the end Henderson won the fight with more technique with a three round unanimous decision in one of the best fights of the year.

The main event shown for the first time on network TV on Fox had UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez facing fighting Junior dos Santos for the heavyweight title.  It was over quick as Cain when fro leg kicks but Junior dos Santos landed an overhand right that sent Cain out cold to win the UFC Heavyweight title.

The next UFC event will be UFC 139: Shogun vs. Henderson that will be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on November 19, 2011 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
