Star prospect Jon “Bones” Jones gave himself a big boost with a first-round knockout of veteran Vladimir Matyushenko in San Diego. Jon Jones proved he is the best young star in the UFC and the 205 pound division. It only took him 1:52 of the first round to dispose of Vladimir Matyushenko. Jones got the take down and Jones gets the crucifix and then lands 10 straight elbows to the head before Herb Dean steps in to call an end to the fight.
Takanori Gomi proved that he can compete in the UFC as he took out the aggressive Tyson Griffin. Gomi drops him flat with a right hook on the chin. Gomi hops on his back and swarms with punches until referee Jason Herzog pulls him off at 1:04 of the opening round.
Gomi’s countrymen Yushin Okami once again showed that he is a slow fighter but once again pulled it out in the second and third round to win a split decision.

The first round will go to Muñoz. In the second and third rounds Okami will start to gauge his distance and push back Muñoz with his jabs. He will pick apart Muñoz and take over the striking battle. This fight will go to a decision. I would bet the money line and UFC prop bet for Okami to win by decision
