UFC Fight Night 12
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 12 Mike “Quick” Swick beat out a decision over Josh “The People’s Champion” Burkman. This is a three round boring fight as neither fighter could gain control in either the top position or on the ground. This was Swick’s first fight in the UFC welterweight division fighting at the 170 pound level.
The fight of the night was Patrick “The Predator” Cote knocking out Andrew McFedries in the first round. Both fighters came out swinging and each fighters landed huge shots before Cote caught McFedries and ended the fight at 1:44 of the first round.
Nathan Diaz proved that winning the TUF six figure UFC contract was no joke as he easily disposed of Alvin Robinson with a beautiful triangle choke in the first round. Diaz was able to transition on the ground and he showed incredible skills on the ground. Diaz now positions himself as a true contender in 155 pound division.
