Both fighters put on a good fight as both fighters came out throwing and attempting submissions but in the end one judge saw it 29-28 for Watson, while a second has it 29-28 Jabouin. The “Korean Zombie” pounces with another half-dozen punches and turns out Hominick’s lights. Referee Herb Dean steps in and this one is over in just 7 seconds. The next fight between Claude Patrick and Brian Ebersole started off slow as both fighters pinned each other on the cage for the first round. In the second round Patrick comes out more aggressive and he lands a knee inside and an elbow and with 20 seconds left, Patrick fires off a solid combo, but gets tied up for the remainder of the round. In the third round both fighters fought back and forth and with two minutes left Ebersole has the underhooks. Patrick grabs on to an arm and threatens with a kimura. Patrick winds up on top and slaps on a brabo choke, which Ebersole twists out of. With 30 seconds to go Patrick attempts an an anaconda choke but winds up on the bottom. In the end one judge scores the bout 29-28 Ebersole, while a second sees it 29-28 Patrick. The third judge gives a 29-28 scorecard and the split decision victory to Brian Ebersole.

Next up was Tito Ortiz and Lil Nog. Both men are winging punches in the clinch, but it’s Nogueira who scores big when they disengage and a knee to the body sends Ortiz to the canvas, where Nogueira pounces and hammerfists and elbows to the head of Ortiz before hter ref stops the fight.

Lil Nog’s big brother Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira was up next versus Frank Mir. Nogueira starts out strong with a number of hard shots and a right hand wobbles Mir’s legs and Nogueira goes to finish but Mir lands a kimura and Big Nog is forced to tap.

The main event had Jon Jones versus Lyoto Machida. The first round was all Machida as he used his quick and elusive fighting style to move in and move out with his strikes to win the first round.

In the second round Jones lands a solid right hand and takes a counter left in return. With 90 seconds left in the round, Jones throws knees and Jones drops Machida with a short left and knees to the gut. From there Jones locks up a deep standing guillotine as Machida is already out.
