UFC Betting Review:
Canadian UFC fighters once again did well in their home country as all Canadian fighters won their mixed martial arts fights. Nick Ring won by third round rear-naked choke, Krzysztof Soszynski won by decision and Sam Stout won by KO over a very talented Yves Edwards.
In the pay per view card Donald Cerrone proved way too much for Vagner Rocha as he won unanimous decision. Heavyweight submission specialist Jon Olav Einemo lost his UFC debut after 3 years of not fighting MMA as he was KO’ed in the second round by Dave Herman.

Mark Muñoz proved that the middle weight division is the place for him as he was able to use his wrestling skills to beat submission specialist Demian Maia. Muñoz used his power and strength to mostly hold Maia against the octagon fence throughout the match to win a boring 3 round decision.
The co main event had Kenny Florian making his 145 featherweight debut. Florian is just bigger, stronger and faster for Nunes. Near the end of the fight Nunes finally lands a shot that sent Florian to his knee but the fight is over before Nunes can do anything more.
The scorecards read 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27, all for Kenny Florian, who takes a unanimous decision in his featherweight debut.
The main event was going to be explosive and it was. Right off the opening bell Carwin shoots in after about 40 seconds and pins Dos Santos into the cage but Dos Santos gets out and punches his way out with jabs and rights hooks and he doubles up the jab and finishes with a right cross and Carwin seem hurt badly. As the round ends, Dos Santos lands 20 or more unanswered shots and Carwin’s face is badly bloodied which is definitely a 10-8 round for Dos Santos.
The second round Dos Santos lands vicious hooks and as the round ends he lands a left high kick and goes back to jabs inside finishing with more strong hooks to the body.
As the third round begins Carwin is cut deeply beneath both eyes and looks like he has a broken nose. Again Dos Santos jabs and batters Carwin. As the round ends he knocks Carwin to the ground and lets him get back up for more punishment with left hooks and leg kicks. The round mercifully ends.
The scorecards reads 30-27, 30-27 and 30-26 for Junior dos Santos, the winner by unanimous decision and No. 1 contender to Cain Velasquez’s UFC heavyweight title.
The next UFC event will be UFC Live: Marquardt vs. Story that will be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Jon June 26, 2011, at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
