UFC Betting Review:
Anderson Silva proved that is he the best pound for pound fighter in the world after he destroyed Vitor Belfort in the first round. Both fighters had a long feeling-out process but Silva started pushing the pace and fired the front kick that dropped Belfort. Silva followed with a right and a left and off Belfort finished it.
This fight showed that Silva has no one left in the UFC 185 pound division left to fight.
In the co main event Forrest Griffin was able to out point Franklin for a unanimous decision victory. Ahead on the scorecards, Griffin took a more conservative approach in the third round, content to trade blows with Rich Franklin from the outside.
In the battle of rising superstars Jon Jones was able to tap out Ryan Bader with a second round rear naked choke. Jones had no trouble with Bader, as he scored with a takedown in the first round and set up briefly for a North-South choke. In the second round Bader pulled guard but did not improve his luck from his back. Jones worked first for the brabo choke and then transitioned to the guillotine for the finish.
In the preliminary fights it showed that Japanese fighter do not do well in the UFC. For some reason they just don’t fight well in the octagon as both Michihiro Omigawa and one time pound for pound contender Norifumi Yamamoto both lost decisions.
