UFC Betting Review:
Cain Velasquez shocked everyone and used technique, power and speed to KO Brock Lesnar in the first round. He withstood the early pressure from Lesnar and was able to keep his momentum and beat Lesnar who gassed out after the early shot attempts.
Cain Velasquez is now the UFC heavyweight champion.
The preliminary fights on Spike TV opened up with Filthy Tom Lawlor using his superior wrestling and jiujitsu to ground and pound out Patrick Cote to earn an easy unanimous decision victory.
Courtney McGee was the season 11 Ultimate Fighter show winner and made his UFC debut against Ryan Jensen. McGee overcame a bad first round to rally and come back in the second round. In the third round Jensen was exhausted and McGee started to take over and ended the fight with an arm triangle.

The UFC pay per view event opened up with TUF competitor Brendan Schaub versus Gabriel Gonzaga. Schaub used his hand speed and jab to batter Gonzaga all three rounds for the unanimous decision victory.
Tito Ortiz did some smack talk saying that deaf people become disoriented if they get hit in the head which angered many deaf advocate groups. Matt Hamill the student was able to beat Tito with a takedown and ground and pound ion the second and third round to defeat Ortiz for a three round unanimous decision victory.
Diego Sanchez looked liked the Diego of old as he and Paulo Thiago has a three round war. But in the end Diego turned it up in the second and third rounds to win a three round unanimous decision victory.
Jake Shields made his long awaited UFC debut fighting a tough Martin Kampmann. Shields had a hard weight cut and it showed in his fight. However, he used his superior wrestling and grappling to beat Kampmann despite being dead tired. Kampmann landed some hard knees to the head when Shields shot in but was dominate in the ground game.
Either UFC jitters or hard weight cut Shields will have to get in better shape when he fights for the title against the winner of Georges St. Pierre and Josh Koscheck.
The next UFC event will be UFC 122: Marquardt vs. Okami, that will be held on November 13, 2010 at König Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany.
Vitor Belfort was set to face Yushin Okami in the main event, with the winner receiving a middleweight title shot. However, on September 21, 2010, Belfort pulled out of the fight to face Anderson Silva, due to Chael Sonnen being suspended for 12 months for failing a drug test.
Nate Marquardt will now face Yushin Okami in the main event in what is expected to be a title eliminator bout.
