UFC Betting Review:
The started off as we predicted with the less that heralded Roli Delgado fighting a “real” MMA fighter in Andre Winner. As we said in our MMA handicapping report, Delgado is a fake Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belt and he would be over matched by a fighter that has earned every bit of his training to become a MMA fighter. If you read our UFC 105 preview and prediction we stated that
“Look for Winner to Knock Out Delgado in a Very Impressive Fashion”
Winner was able to beat Delgado early in the first round with an overhand-right combo that put The Crazy Cuban to sleep at 3:22 of the first round. Michael Bisping moved back on track with his KO victory over Denis Kang. The two betting surprises of the night was home town fighter Dan Hardy beating top welterweight contender Mike Swick with a 3 round decision victory. Hardy used his striking power to overwhelm Swick and now moves in line to fight Georges St Pierre.
In the main, Randy Couture won a 3 round decision over Brandon Vera but it look like Vera won the fight and was visibly upset. Vera landed vicious body blows and even got a third round take down but Couture got a favourable judge’s decision.

The next UFC event will be UFC 106: Ortiz vs.Griffin 2 that will be held on oon November 21, 2009 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Some of the preliminary fights will be televised on Spike TV. UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar pulled out of his fight against Shane Carwin due to mononucleosis that has kept him from training. The UFC therefore moved up the Tito Ortiz versus Forrst Griffin fight as the headline fight for the UFC 106 card.
