UFC - TUF 5 Finale

Season Five of the Ultimate Fighter reality show was better than UFC 782 which in my opinion was a joke and a rip off to any pay per view subscribers/. This event made up for UFC 72 as most of the fighters were entertaining.

As most people expected BJ Penn put on a clinic and beat Jens Pulver like he was his little brother. Penn dominated the fight from the start ended it off with a jujitsu demonstration as he brilliantly trapped Jens’ arm with a body triangle so Jens only had one hand to defend with. BJ choked Jens out and for an exclamation held onto the rear naked choke a couple seconds more to prove to everyone who is the better fighter. Tit was quite funny hearing Joe Rogan yelling he is not letting go. Eventually Penn let go before Big John McMarthy has to pry it from BJ.

Again it was great show since it was for free. The only disappointment I had was that I wanted to see Noah Thomas and Marlon Sims fight in the octagon since they were the two who fought in the house. In stead they had Lobster Boy Allen Berube fight who was beat by Leonard Garcia with a rear naked choke.

Kimbo Slice (-400) vs. Ken Shamrock (+320)
As a mixed martial arts purist I really want so badly for Ken Shamrock (26-13-2) to beat Kimbo Slice (3-0).However, Ken Shamrock is now 44 years old and has been knocked out in his last 5 fights and has only 2 wins in his last 9 fights...read more

Nate Diaz (-185) vs. Josh Neer (+155)
When it comes to fighting, Nate Diaz (9-2) has so many weapons and is better than Neer in almost every category. The online UFC betting lines at Bookmaker.com currently have Diaz as a -185 but I would have thought the sportsbook odds makers would have set the betting lines higher...read more
