UFC TUF 14 - Dodson and Brando Win UFC TUF 15 Contracts

The fights started off with the preliminary fights shown on Facebook. Bryan Caraway, Steven Siler, Roland Delorme, John Albert and Marcus Brimage all won their MMA fights at the TUF 14 Finale.


The Spike TV live telecast for the UFC featherweight and UFC bantamweight contracts were shown along with the main event between Michael Bisping and Jason Miller.


The first fight was Johnny Bedford versus Louis Gaudinot and Bedford used his reach, size and strength to dominate Gaudinot until hooks to the body sent Gaudinot down and Bedord followed by vicious knees before Mazzagatti stops the action at the 1:58 mark of the third round.


Next up was last year’s winner Tony Ferguson fighting MMA veteran Yves Edwards. The first round was back and forth but Ferguson landed the better shots and even tried a rolling omoplata attempt and in the second round it was more even but Edwards landed the bigger strikes but Ferguson got a late round takedown. In the end the official scores were 30-27 (twice) and 29-28, all for the winner by unanimous decision, Tony Ferguson.

Next up was the bantamweight UFC contract fight between T.J. Dillashaw versus John Dodson. Dodson used his speed and power to land a number of shots that sent Dillashaw to the ground and the ref stopped the first for Dodson to become the new TUF 14 bantamweight champion.

The feather contract was next and heavy favorite Diego Brandao faced off with Dennis Bermudez and the odds were not looking good that Bermudez would not get KO’ed. Bermudez was not afraid to strike against Brandao and looked very crisp but Brandao caught him mid way through the round but Bermudez rocked him late in the round but Brandao caught Bermudez with an arm bar to end the fight and win the featherweight UFC contract.

The main event had the two TUF season 14 coaches square off between Jason Miller and Michael Bisping. Miller got an early takedown and he pinned Bisping against the cage. In round two Miller was gassing and Bisping was taking over the fight.


In the third round both fighters are now tired but Bisping is all over Miller as he is way too tired to do anything and the ref stopped the fight at 3:34 of the third round.

Fighters were awarded $40,000 bonuses.
