UFC Betting Review:
Aaron Riley opened up the card against Shane Nelson and Nelson counters with a right hand that drops Riley. Riley recovers quickly, but the fight is stopped way too prematurely. Brandon Vera got a much needed win as he dismantled Michael Patt with lower legs kicks till he could not continue. Patt really need to work on other aspect so fighting as he looked really bad. Tim Boetsch proved that he may be all hype as he was dominated for rounds 2 and 3 by hard hitting Jason Brilz. Tamdan McCrory proved he might be ready to be noticed in the welterweight division and he destroyed Ryan Madigan in the first round with a barrage of punches.
For the pay per view televised fights Jim Miller got his face blooded up by Gray Maynard. Miller was unable to take Maynard to the ground and Maynard beat Miller by wining the stand up battle and his sprawl defense and wrestling skills.
The wrestlers did well at UFC 96 all night as Matt Hamill proved that he is a legitimate fighter with an impressive head kick over another tough wrestler in Mark Munoz. Matt Brown proved all analysts wrong with a highlight reel knockout over tough Pete Sell.
Shane Carwin now moves into line to fight former training partner Brock Lesner for the heavyweight title with an impressive first round KO over Gabriel Gonzaga in just over a minute.
The main event went the distance as Quinton Jackson outlasted Keith Jardine. Rampage was able to learn to avoid the lower leg kicks and out slug Jardine for a unanimous decision victory. Quinton Jackson now moves in line to fight Jardine’s training partner Sugar Rashad Evans for the UFC Light heavyweight title.

The next UFC event will be UFC 97: Redempion that will take place on April 18, 2009 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for the secdon time the UFC venture North of the boarder. The event is called Redempion because many of the fighters are looking for rerdemption after their last UFC fight with surprising loses.
