UFC Betting Review:

Rashad “Sugar” Evans stayed perfect in the UFC with a split decision win over Michael Bisping. Though the fight was pretty even, Evans scored more takedowns which was the deciding factor in the fight. He showed superior wrestling skill despite very good take down defense from Bisping.

Hard hitting Houston Alexander was picked apart by unbeaten Thiago Silva who exposed Alexander for his lack of ground game. Thiago waited for the initial onslaught and after 30 seconds took Alexander down. He looked like a fish out of water on his back and Silva took him apart and mounted him. Once mounted Silva showed superior base and controlled Alexander on the ground until he knocked him out on the mount. The Chute Boxe fighter displayeda superior all round fight game that Alexander could not counter. Alexander was exposed for being a one dimension fighter. If you read our MMA match up of this fight we were once again bang on.

Frank Edgar also remained unbeaten as he beat Spencer Fisher. For 3 rounds he took him down in front of his home crowd with his far superior wrestling skills. Though he did not overwhelm Fisher, Fisher was unable to withstand Edgar’s take downs. If you read out UFC fight preview we called this fight correctly to the tee.

Karo Parisyan remains in the UFC welterweight title hunt as he defeated Pride FC Japanese superstar Ryo Chonan. Take a look at our UFC preview of this fight and once again we were bang on in our UFC prediction.

Akihiro Gono made his UFC debt by over powering a less skilled Tamden McCrory with the submission of the night armbar in the second round. From the get go McCrory was way over matched in all categories. Joe Lauzon’s rear naked choke in the first round against Jason Reinhardt was a thing of beauty as he was no match the previously unbeaten Reinhardt. Ed Herman avenged his defeat 3 years ago to Joe Doerksen with a 3 round KO. The fight was pretty even up until the KO. Doerksen has Herman in an armbar and triangle choke in the second round but was saved by the bell.

Not comes UFC 79 with the long awaited fight between Wanderlai Silva versus Chuck Liddell. This a match every hardcore MMA fan has been waiting for.
