Mixed martial arts hits the mainstream when UFC 1 shows on ppv to display ring fighting or ultimate cage fighting. UFC was alot different then it is today. The Mixed martial arts fighters were all specialized in their own specific styles. MMA fighters were matched up with Karate vs. Kung Fu and others of the sort. UFC fans were in awe of soon to be infamous Royce Gracie and his seemingly weak style. Gracie went through the mixed martial arts competition like they were white belts. Many other great fighters were showcase at this mixed martial arts fighting event. Ken Shamrock showed his skills and why he is known as "the worlds most dangerous man". Gracie fights to the end and wins the Mixed martial arts event with ease and paves his road to infamy
