The Ultimate Fighter 8 Cast members

The Ultimate Fighter 8 Cast members have been reveled for season 9 that will headline two UFC heavyweight coaches that include UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and former champion Frank Mir who is the number one contender for the crown. This year’s TUF members will be represented by the Lightweights and Light heavyweights.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will have a star studded line up helping him coach with pound for pound fighter best fighter in the world Anderson Silva and top light heavyweight contender Lyoto Machida while Mir will have one of the top BJJ grapplers in the world helping him in Robert Drysdale. Which team will prevail and who will the fighters want to coach form them?

The experience is overwhelming on the side of Nogueira but will the language problems lead the fighters to want to train with Mir and Drysdale.

The TUF season 9 will premiere on Sept. 17, 2008 on Spike TV will feature fighters in the 205-pound and 155-pound divisions. Like last year the reality show members will have to fight to get in the UFC house. After the season is over the two coaches will fight for the UFC heavyweight title.The cast members will represent some very strong MMA team like Shane Nelson from BJ Penn Camp,Team Renzo Gracie, Team Quest and American Top Team. Before the show has even aired the online MMA forums have been buzzing about who has already won the show. Many are pointing Joseph Duarte as the lightweight winner. If you look at Joe Durante he is a beast. Dana White has already commented about how he has found the next Anderson Silva and many believe he was referring to Joe Durante. The lightweight side is stacked with Jose Aguilar who is 17 and 3, Phillipe Nover and Shane Nelson as the early UFC betting favorites.

On the heavyweight side, the field is wide open but there are some notable names, or last names for that matter. Lance Evans (4-2) is the brother of TUF heavyweight winner Rashad Evans and Jason Guida (26-13) is the brother of Clay Guida will also represent the light heavyweight side.
