Official Fight Card for UFC 109 and Betting Lines

Posted on January 2nd, 2010 in MMA Betting, MMA News, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC News, UFC Odds by admin

Official Fight Card for UFC 109 Relentless has been released. Like UFC 108, UFC 109 is riddled with injuries. The main event will be a battle of two UFC hall of famers in Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman. This might have been a good fight 4 years ago but this main event will be a snooze fest. Whatever the UFC betting lines are I would lay a lot on the Natural.

The best fight of the night will be the co-main event between Nate Marquardt and Chael Sonnenn. The most interesting fight of the night will be Matt Serra and Frank Trigg. Both fighters are big talkers and the trash talking has already begun. Both are in the late half of their thirties, have UFC careers on life-support, coming off losses, had memorable battles with two of the divisions elites, and neither are strangers to hyping a fight with verbal strikes As Trigg was quoted as saying

Both are in the late half of their thirties, have UFC careers on life-support, coming off losses, had memorable battles with two of the divisions elites, and neither are strangers to hyping a fight with verbal strikes.

For hard core UFC fans the fight everyone is waiting for is the return of a Gracie to the UFC. Rolles Gracie Jr. is a 2nd degree black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and the son of one of the pioneers of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Rolls Gracie who is considered the best BJJ fighter in history before he died tragically in a kite flying accident. Rolles Gracie Jr. He will make his UFC debut versus Mostapha Al-turk in a heavyweight fight. Gracie has been working with Greg Jackson at Jackson’s fighting submission and will have a complete MMA game by the time he enters the octagon.

The early UFC 109 betting lines have been put by 5 Dimes but the lines for the Paulo Thiago  versus Josh Koscheck  will be replaced due to an injury but Koscheck. Josh Koscheck was scheduled to face Paulo Thiago, but was forced off the card with an injury. Thiago is now expected to face Mike Swick. A Middleweight Championship bout between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort was confirmed by UFC President Dana White but called off due to Silva’s slow healing from elbow surgery. Antônio Rogério Nogueira had to withdraw from his bout against Brandon Vera due to a fractured ankle and Vera will face Jon Jones on March 21, 2010 at UFC Fight Night 21 insterad.

UFC 107 Online Betting Lines and UFC Prop Bets

Posted on December 12th, 2009 in MMA Betting, MMA News, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC News, UFC Odds by admin

You know a sport is popular when the prop bets start to increase. 5 Dimes has always put out UFC prop bets but for UFC 107 they have issued a lot more prop bets than normal. 5 Dime has been a leader in mixed martial arts betting but now they have just released their full sports book betting lines for UFC 107.

One fight worth betting is the Alan Belcher versus Wilson Gouveia fight. Belcher has vastly improved his game as he beat Denis Kang and narrowly lost to Yoshihiro Akiyama. Many people felt he won that fight. Belcher opens up at -105 while Gouveia is the favorite at -125. Gouveia has never been a hard trainer and he will be overwhelmed by the pressure Belcher will out on him. I say bet a lot on Belcher for the underdog victory.

5 Dimes has also put over under betting for the first time. So now you can bet on totals as well as on the money line, in addition to parlays and prop bets.

If you have the money you can always bet a prop bet on the Florian/Guida fight not to be a draw. However, you will have shell out 15,000 dollars just to win 100 if the fight is not a draw.

If you read our matchup report we said Jon Fitch would beat Mike Pierce. That was before the lines were released.  Yes we still recommend that fight but we were hoping the lines would open up at -300 instead. If you have the money it is a good bet. A better bet is the Frank Mir fight. He is now at -200. When the lines first opened he was at -185. It is best to bet now since they might move even further by the time the fight rolls around.

In our BJ Penn versus Diego Sanchez handicapping report we liked the fight to go the distance and for Sanchez to win by decision. This is our recommended UFC prop bet for Sanchez wins by 5 round decision +451.

UFC TUF 10 Heavyweights Online Betting Lines

Posted on December 5th, 2009 in MMA Betting, MMA News, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC News, UFC Odds by admin

TFU 10 bettingThe Ultimate Fighter 10 (TUF 10) online betting lines are out and there are a few surprises. Kimbo Slice opened up with a +210 on most sportsbooks.  Believe me the staff at fighting-mma.com think Kimbo is a HORRIBLE fighter BUT so is Houston Alexander. I guess the TUF show proved nothing to only strengthen Kimbo detractors.

However, Dana White wants to cash in the on the Kimbo craze and has handed picked a perfect fighter and made the fight tailored towards a Kimbo win. There is no fix but there the UFC is trying to give Kimbo as much of an advantage as they can for him to win. First they made the fight a catch weight at 215 pounds which means Kimbo doers not have to cut any weight and he will have more power fighting a light heavyweight.

It pains me to say it but bet a lot of money on a Kimbo win. No matter what someone is getting knocked out. I don’t think that will be a UFC prop bet offered by an sports book.

Another bet that is worth wagering on is for “Titties” Darrill Schoonover to beat James Mcsweeney. Mcsweeney proved nothing on the show. I was not impressed with his kicks especially his jumping kick which leaves him very off balance against better stronger  fighters. Darrill Schoonover has very good hands and will knock out Mcsweeney who is smaller and really should be fighting in the light heavyweight division.

Everyone will be looking at the Matt Mitrione +250 versus Marcus Jones -325 fight. Big Baby has very good grappling skills and will use his NFL experience to take Mitrione and sub him. Mitrione can strike but he needs to refine his striking more. Despite the fact Jones has a weak chin bet on Jones for a submission victory.

The main event has Matt Hamill +230 versus very heavy handed striker Jon Jones -270. Jones is a beast and has incredible striking while Hamill mostly relies on his wrestling. The difference is that Jones also has a background in wrestling. Look for a beating on Jones

So who will be the TUF 10 champ. Well it will be our fight from the start. Roy Nelson has experience, grappling and striking. He is a true MMA fighter and well rounded. That fact makes this bout all the more disappointing since there is no way a guy with four professional fights to his name should be fighting Nelson, a proven veteran of 17 bouts. Nelson has the chin to survive Schaub’s power and the mat game to exploit his still unpolished jiu-jitsu.

Nelson beat Frank Mir in a grappling match and will take this fight to the ground and use his belly to pin Brendan Schaub + down and ground and pound him out.

For all UFC TUF 10 go to 5 Dimes where they have the latest UFC betting lines and more UFC prop bets than any online sports book

UFC Fight Night 18 Condit vs. Kampmann betting odds

Posted on April 1st, 2009 in MMA Betting, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC News, UFC Odds by admin

  Bet at 5Dimes

UFC Fight Night 18 or UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann takes place and online sportsbook 5 Dimes has the full betting odds with UFC prop bets for all the fights.

The main event has Carlos Condit versus Martin Kampmann. Kampmann on all betting sites is a betting favorite due to the fact hat he has fought in the UFC many times but WEC fighter Carlos Condit is very capable of beating Kampmann who is basically a striker. Carlos Condit is 23 and 4 and holds wins over Frank Trigg, Brock Larson, and Renato Verissimo. Condit has recently changed camps and now trains out of Arizona Combat Sports.

He has very good grappling skills as well as a powerful wrestling base. Condit has never been KO’ed. Kampmann is basically a striker and once Condit takes him to the ground it will be over. At +105 this is a great bet to make before odds makers figure out that Condit is a legitimate fighter. If there is a prop bet to be made take Condit to win by submission.

UFC 95 full online sportsbook lines and props

Posted on February 19th, 2009 in MMA Betting, MMA News, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC News, UFC Odds by admin

UFC 95 bettingUFC 95 full online sportsbook lines and props by 5 Dimes have just been released. 5 Dimes is the only online sportsbook that offers great mixed martial arts betting proposition bets.

This UFC fight card the money line odds are not worth betting but there are some interesting props bets that minimize the investment. For example if you think Demian Maia  will win the fight -265 is not worth the bet but wagering on Maia to win by inside the distance  -150 is a much better bet to make. If you read our MMA matchup report we suggested a Chael Sonnen upset at +225 but if you want to bet on him ot KO Maia within the distance it pays out  +436.

Also betting on Josh Koscheck to win is a no brainer but shelling out -515 to win 100 is not worth it. For the fight to not go the 3 round distance  at -170 is a much better bet to make than at -515.

The UFC betting lines are not the greatest for this event but one fight the staff do like is the Rory Markham fight at -120. He has very good odds and you will not have to bet a lot to win.

For all UFC 95 odds check the lines out below.
