UFC 110 Online Betting Lines

Posted on February 18th, 2010 in MMA Betting, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC Odds by admin

For the first time the UFC will be heading Down Under on Sunday, February 21, 2010 in Sydney, Australia at the Acer Arena. 5 Dimes has just released their full online betting odds for the UFC 110 line up that will headline Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira versus  Cain Velasquez. The winner will fight for the UFC heavyweight championship.

If you read your MMA matchup report we staed that

This fight will eventually go to the ground and Cain will try to maintain top position but Nogueira will bait him into one position and Velasquez will over commit and that is when Minotauro will submit him.

UFC betting
wise the -120 lines for Nogueira is a good price to wager at. I would have set the Nogueira betting lines a bit higher, so to be this is a high value bet.

To bet view the online betting lines or bet on these fights go to 5 Dimes which is the best online sports book for UFC betting because they allow UFC props bets as well as parlays inadditon to money bets and over/under bets.

Official Fight Card for UFC 109 and Betting Lines

Posted on January 2nd, 2010 in MMA Betting, MMA News, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC News, UFC Odds by admin

Official Fight Card for UFC 109 Relentless has been released. Like UFC 108, UFC 109 is riddled with injuries. The main event will be a battle of two UFC hall of famers in Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman. This might have been a good fight 4 years ago but this main event will be a snooze fest. Whatever the UFC betting lines are I would lay a lot on the Natural.

The best fight of the night will be the co-main event between Nate Marquardt and Chael Sonnenn. The most interesting fight of the night will be Matt Serra and Frank Trigg. Both fighters are big talkers and the trash talking has already begun. Both are in the late half of their thirties, have UFC careers on life-support, coming off losses, had memorable battles with two of the divisions elites, and neither are strangers to hyping a fight with verbal strikes As Trigg was quoted as saying

Both are in the late half of their thirties, have UFC careers on life-support, coming off losses, had memorable battles with two of the divisions elites, and neither are strangers to hyping a fight with verbal strikes.

For hard core UFC fans the fight everyone is waiting for is the return of a Gracie to the UFC. Rolles Gracie Jr. is a 2nd degree black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and the son of one of the pioneers of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Rolls Gracie who is considered the best BJJ fighter in history before he died tragically in a kite flying accident. Rolles Gracie Jr. He will make his UFC debut versus Mostapha Al-turk in a heavyweight fight. Gracie has been working with Greg Jackson at Jackson’s fighting submission and will have a complete MMA game by the time he enters the octagon.

The early UFC 109 betting lines have been put by 5 Dimes but the lines for the Paulo Thiago  versus Josh Koscheck  will be replaced due to an injury but Koscheck. Josh Koscheck was scheduled to face Paulo Thiago, but was forced off the card with an injury. Thiago is now expected to face Mike Swick. A Middleweight Championship bout between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort was confirmed by UFC President Dana White but called off due to Silva’s slow healing from elbow surgery. Antônio Rogério Nogueira had to withdraw from his bout against Brandon Vera due to a fractured ankle and Vera will face Jon Jones on March 21, 2010 at UFC Fight Night 21 insterad.

UFC 107 Online Betting Lines and UFC Prop Bets

Posted on December 12th, 2009 in MMA Betting, MMA News, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC News, UFC Odds by admin

You know a sport is popular when the prop bets start to increase. 5 Dimes has always put out UFC prop bets but for UFC 107 they have issued a lot more prop bets than normal. 5 Dime has been a leader in mixed martial arts betting but now they have just released their full sports book betting lines for UFC 107.

One fight worth betting is the Alan Belcher versus Wilson Gouveia fight. Belcher has vastly improved his game as he beat Denis Kang and narrowly lost to Yoshihiro Akiyama. Many people felt he won that fight. Belcher opens up at -105 while Gouveia is the favorite at -125. Gouveia has never been a hard trainer and he will be overwhelmed by the pressure Belcher will out on him. I say bet a lot on Belcher for the underdog victory.

5 Dimes has also put over under betting for the first time. So now you can bet on totals as well as on the money line, in addition to parlays and prop bets.

If you have the money you can always bet a prop bet on the Florian/Guida fight not to be a draw. However, you will have shell out 15,000 dollars just to win 100 if the fight is not a draw.

If you read our matchup report we said Jon Fitch would beat Mike Pierce. That was before the lines were released.  Yes we still recommend that fight but we were hoping the lines would open up at -300 instead. If you have the money it is a good bet. A better bet is the Frank Mir fight. He is now at -200. When the lines first opened he was at -185. It is best to bet now since they might move even further by the time the fight rolls around.

In our BJ Penn versus Diego Sanchez handicapping report we liked the fight to go the distance and for Sanchez to win by decision. This is our recommended UFC prop bet for Sanchez wins by 5 round decision +451.

UFC TUF 10 Heavyweights Online Betting Lines

Posted on December 5th, 2009 in MMA Betting, MMA News, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC News, UFC Odds by admin

TFU 10 bettingThe Ultimate Fighter 10 (TUF 10) online betting lines are out and there are a few surprises. Kimbo Slice opened up with a +210 on most sportsbooks.  Believe me the staff at fighting-mma.com think Kimbo is a HORRIBLE fighter BUT so is Houston Alexander. I guess the TUF show proved nothing to only strengthen Kimbo detractors.

However, Dana White wants to cash in the on the Kimbo craze and has handed picked a perfect fighter and made the fight tailored towards a Kimbo win. There is no fix but there the UFC is trying to give Kimbo as much of an advantage as they can for him to win. First they made the fight a catch weight at 215 pounds which means Kimbo doers not have to cut any weight and he will have more power fighting a light heavyweight.

It pains me to say it but bet a lot of money on a Kimbo win. No matter what someone is getting knocked out. I don’t think that will be a UFC prop bet offered by an sports book.

Another bet that is worth wagering on is for “Titties” Darrill Schoonover to beat James Mcsweeney. Mcsweeney proved nothing on the show. I was not impressed with his kicks especially his jumping kick which leaves him very off balance against better stronger  fighters. Darrill Schoonover has very good hands and will knock out Mcsweeney who is smaller and really should be fighting in the light heavyweight division.

Everyone will be looking at the Matt Mitrione +250 versus Marcus Jones -325 fight. Big Baby has very good grappling skills and will use his NFL experience to take Mitrione and sub him. Mitrione can strike but he needs to refine his striking more. Despite the fact Jones has a weak chin bet on Jones for a submission victory.

The main event has Matt Hamill +230 versus very heavy handed striker Jon Jones -270. Jones is a beast and has incredible striking while Hamill mostly relies on his wrestling. The difference is that Jones also has a background in wrestling. Look for a beating on Jones

So who will be the TUF 10 champ. Well it will be our fight from the start. Roy Nelson has experience, grappling and striking. He is a true MMA fighter and well rounded. That fact makes this bout all the more disappointing since there is no way a guy with four professional fights to his name should be fighting Nelson, a proven veteran of 17 bouts. Nelson has the chin to survive Schaub’s power and the mat game to exploit his still unpolished jiu-jitsu.

Nelson beat Frank Mir in a grappling match and will take this fight to the ground and use his belly to pin Brendan Schaub + down and ground and pound him out.

For all UFC TUF 10 go to 5 Dimes where they have the latest UFC betting lines and more UFC prop bets than any online sports book

Early UFC 105 Sport Betting Lines - Free MMA Picks

Posted on October 18th, 2009 in MMA Betting, MMA News, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC Odds by admin

With UFC 105 just a week away the early betting lines have been released by BetUS and there are dome great dog picks for this event. If you are a UFC bettor and like to pick favorites this MMA event is not for you. Just look at the main event fight. A former pound for pound fighter is now at +325. The co main event has a guy with only 6 MMA fights as a -300 while the MMA veteran opens up at +220

As a UFC bettor we can not pass up betting on Shogun who is a +325. Just 2 years ago he was the most feared fighter coming to the UFC. I think with some poor fights and some injury problems he gets good betting value. If you want to read our MMA free pick for this fight got to our UFC handicapping report.

Two other dog picks look great for the pickings. Cain Velasquez might still be too green to lump him in with the top heavyweights and his opponent Ben Rothwell is a dog bet at +220. Ill take the +220 bet for the veteran who have fought top level guys versus the guy who has not. Read the full UFC prediction for this fight.

No idea why Chael Sonnen +185 is the underdog in this fight but he is. Yushin Okami is a very slow starter and has not fought in almost a year. Those two combinations leads to a great value bet on the underdog. Read full UFC preview for this fight.

One dog bet to stay away from is Anthony Johnson. This guy has too much power in the stand up and Japanese fighters for some reason done do well in the octagon.

To view and bet on any of these early UFC 105 betting lines got to BetUS

Lyoto Machida -450
Mauricio Rua +325

Cain Velasquez -300
Ben Rothwell +220

Pat Barry -105
Antoni Hardonk -125

Yushin Okami -250
Chael Sonnen +185

Joe Stevenson -220
Spencer Fisher +175

UFC Fight Night 19 Diaz vs. Guillard Online Betting Lines

UFC Fight Night 19 Betting Lines

UFC fight night 19 bettingUFC Fight Night 19 Diaz vs. Guillard online betting lines have been put out by 5 Dimes and it will hold some very interesting fights for online UFC sports bettors. The event is to be held on September 16, 2009 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with the main event being Melvin Guillard versus Nathan Diaz  but for most MMA fans the best fight of the night will be Roger Huerta versus Gray Maynard.

Roger Huerta is going into this fight as a pretty big online betting underdog at +260. No idea why online sportsbook oddsmakers have Gray Maynard as such a high betting favorite but Huerta is a great underdog bet to make. His pressing style will confuse Maynard. I predict Huerta will win this fight with his pressure and fast paced attack. At +260 this is a great bet to make to win a lot of money.

Another great bet to make is the Phillipe Nover versus Sam Stout fight. Nover opens up at +165 and has great value against Stout who is a very one dimensional fighter. He has no ground game and relies on his striking. Nover is a very well rounded fighter that can win this fight either in the stand up or on the ground. Nover can hold his own on the stand up and he will be able to take Stout to the ground and submit him. Stout is very overrated as a fighter and Nover will expose his ground game.

Tim Credeur comes into his fight with Nate Quarry as a huge betting dog at +210. Nate Quarry is so over rated. Credeur is a black belt level fighter and Quarry has no ground game and marketing more so as a fighter than his skill dictates. Bet heavily on this underdog fight.

UFC 102 Betting Odds and Prop Bets

Posted on August 21st, 2009 in MMA Betting, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC Odds by admin

  Bet at 5Dimes

5 Dimes has put out their online betting odds for UFC 102 along with some UFC prop bets for the next UFC event that will be held on August 29, 2009 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon for the first time.

The mixed martial arts main event will be former UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight champion, Randy Couture, fighting former PRIDE Heavyweight and UFC Interim Heavyweight champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

The winner will most likely get a shot a Brock Lesnar for the UFC Heavyweight championship. Both fighters are coming off a loss as Nogueira lost to Frank Mir and Couture lost to Lesnar. If you read the handicapping matchup for this fight we recommended

At the end of the day Nogueira is a better fighter with more skills. He can take a beating and will end up with a submission. Though Couture will control the first part of the fight, in the end Nogueira will put out a submission

Also on the card is Demian Maia versus Nate Marquardt fight. The online UFC betting odds have Maia as the betting underdog. His skills seem to be too good and at that price he is worth the bet.

One of the best bets of the night is the Ed Herman versus Aaron Simpson fight. Herman is a -150 favorite. This price is a steal for a very talented fighter. Yes he has some loses but to top level fighter unlike Aaron Simpson who is still unknown. At -150 this is one of the best bets to make.

The best UFC prop bet is for the fight between Thiago Silva and Keith Jardine to go the 3 round distance at +110. If you take Keith Jardine at -160 and parlay that fight with the UFC prop bet you can a decent payout.

UFC Fight Night 18 or UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann takes place and online sportsbook 5 Dimes has the full betting odds with UFC prop bets for all the fights.

The main event has Carlos Condit versus Martin Kampmann. Kampmann on all betting sites is a betting favorite due to the fact hat he has fought in the UFC many times but WEC fighter Carlos Condit is very capable of beating Kampmann who is basically a striker. Carlos Condit is 23 and 4 and holds wins over Frank Trigg, Brock Larson, and Renato Verissimo. Condit has recently changed camps and now trains out of Arizona Combat Sports.

He has very good grappling skills as well as a powerful wrestling base. Condit has never been KO’ed. Kampmann is basically a striker and once Condit takes him to the ground it will be over. At +105 this is a great bet to make before odds makers figure out that Condit is a legitimate fighter. If there is a prop bet to be made take Condit to win by submission.

As expected Rampage Jackson is a clear betting favorite but if you read our MMA handicapping report we believe that Jardine will win due to superior coaching and a good game plan.

One good underdog pick is for the Philippine Wrecking Machine Mark Munoz due to his far superior wresting skills over Matt Hamill. At +140 this is a good price to bet at

If you have 13000 to waste you can bet the fight not to be a draw. The 13000 is a UFC prop bet that you can make just to win 100. The prop bet I really like is for Jardine to win by 3 round decision which pays out +646

For us the biggest bet of the night is more out of principle for the UFC to put in quality fighters. Why is Matt Brown fighting in the UFC? Just because he was on the TUF reality show. He is one of the worst fighters with not real skills and one of the worst MMA camps under another UFC waste Jorge Gurgel. Out of principle we are betting huge on Pete Sell who will hopefully get rid of Matt Brown until he learns how to fight.
