UFC 92 betting

UFC 92 bettingImagine the buzz of anticipation for a Rampage/Wanderlei fight. On the same night as Forrest Griffin defends his title for the first time against Rashad Evans and Antonio Nogueira (31-4-1) will face off with Frank Mir (11-3-0). Now you can bet on the most immense night of MMA action in history on December 27, at UFC 92.

Antonio Nogueira Vs. Frank Mir - The two coaches from the current The Ultimate Fighter will square off to not only settle the score of the show, but decide who deserves to be heavyweight champion. Mir (11-3) takes on the only fighter to hold both the PRIDE and UFC heavyweight titles in Nogueira (31-4-1).

Rampage vs. Silva

Looking at their history, it should be a vicious KO victory for Silva, but this isn’t Pride.

Rampage has improved a lot since then, and the UFC environment helps him in this fight (rules, cage, crowd, etc). Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will look to exact revenge on nemesis Wanderlei Silva “The Axe Murderer” scored two wins over Quinton when the pair competed under the Pride FC banner several years back.

Quinton has been waiting for the opportunity for a very, very long time. He’s already in the gym training to ensure that he is in the best form possible. This 205-pound showdown is pure dynamite that is ready to explode.

The main event of the evening, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin will defend his title for the first time against number one contender, “Sugar” Rashad Evans.

At UFC 92, Japanese superstar has agreed to take on former KOTC champion Dean Lister. Okami also has a 2-fight winning streak as he defeated Jason MacDonald at UFC 77 via a unanimous decision and then knocked out the former champ Evan Tanner, who recently died in the deserts of Sourthern California. Okami looks to be one fight away from a second opportunity for the UFC middelweight title if he does indeed get passed Lister.

Lister is coming off a 2-fight winning streak, defeating Jordan Radev at UFC 79 by unanimous decision and then submitted Jeremy Horn via a guillotine choke at the Ultimate Fighter 7 finale.

The UFC 92 fight card is absolutely loaded and there are still several bouts that will be added in the near future.

  UFC 92 fight card
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir HW Title Bout
Forrest Griffin vs. Rashad Evans LHW Title Bout
Wanderlei Silva vs. Quinton Jackson
CB Dolloway vs. Jorge Rivera
Yushin Okami vs. Dean Lister

UFC 91 Fighter Pay Salaries

Brock WinsAfter 91 UFC: Couture vs. Lesnar it looks like the money is starting to be made by the fighters, even though it pales in comparison to big money boxing matches and in relation to how much the UFC actually makes per pay per view.

The lower level fighters are now starting to get paid more but still needs to be done. We always stand by the fighters and think they should get as much money as possible.

Think about it, if you are scheduled to fight at a UFC event you need at least 3 months to prepare. You have to pay for your club, you have to take time off work, you have to go to multiple gyms to train, you have to pay your agent and corner men and you have to pay taxes.

Look at Alvin Robinson who got paid 7 grand to fight at UFC 91

After taxes he gets paid $5500 lets say. 10% of that goes to his agent and 10% goes to his coaches and corner men, which leaves him with $4455. Minus training and other costs to travel to train he might walk away with $4200.

Now given the fact he knows he has to fight in 3 month he has to take time off work to train full time everyday,  which means he is living off $4200 for 3 months, which means he gets paid close to $1400 a month. People at MacDonald’s get paid more than a professional fighter in the UFC.

Now if he gets hurt or injured during the fight who pays for that?

Now I would give anything to be a UFC fighter and fight in the biggest show on earth. But I also like to eat and live in a warm house. Come on Dana White pay the fighters a little more to fight in the biggest and best MMA show on earth.

Below are the UFC 91 pay salaries, see if you can live off what some of the under card fighters make and do you own math.

Brock Lesnar - $450,000 (includes $200,000 win bonus)
Randy Couture - $250,000
Gabriel Gonzaga - $110,000 (includes $55,000 win bonus)
Dustin Hazelett - $88,000 (includes $14,000 win, $60,000 “Submission of the Night” bonuses)

Jeremy Stephens - $76,000 (includes $8,000 win, $60,000 “Knockout of the Night” bonuses)
Jorge Gurgel - $70,000 (includes $60,000 “Fight of the Night” bonus)
Aaron Riley - $68,000 (includes $4,000 win, $60,000 “Fight of the Night” bonuses)
Demian Maia - $40,000 (includes $20,000 win bonus)

UFC 91 BettingUFC 91 is all set to go. The weight in s are over and the fighters are set as all fighter made weight. Both Randy Couture and Brock Lesnar made weight as the former WWE star had to cut about 20 pounds to get under the 265 pound limit.

This will be the most watched an d is the most anticipated fight in UFC history as Couture makes his return to the UFC to fight his biggest opponent and fan favorite Brock Lesnar.

If you read our MMA UFC handicapping report we have said over and over again that Lesnar is not experienced enough to beat Couture.

The UFC online betting lines current have Couture as the sportsbook underdog at -105 compared to Lesnar’s lines at -125.

BetUS.com has just released their online betting lines for the rest of the under card fight at UFC 91.

To get the bets UFC betting information and  MMA matchup previews for the fight go to

Kenny “Ken Flo” Florian (-185) vs. Joe “Daddy” Stevenson (+160)

Demian Maia (-245) vs. Nate “The Rock” Quarry (+175)

Jorge Gurgel vs. Aaron Riley

Amir Sadollah vs. Nick Catone

This biggest dog pick is fort Aaron Riley to beat Jorge Gurgel. The lines opened up with Gurgel at a +-130.

As stated in our matchup report

We have yet to see Gurgel do anything on the ground in any of his fights. He will not be able out grapple Riley if he can not take him down. Aaron Riley has been around the block as an MMA fighter who has fought every type of style. He has fought far better grapplers, strikers and wrestlers than Gurgle, and he will use his experience to beat Gurgel who never has a game plan, is wild with his striking and never uses he supposed superior ground game; so what good is he.

We recommend for online sports bettor to bet heavily on Riley

Other dog picks we recommend are Rafael dos Anjos +110 to beat Jeremy Stephens at -140 and Ryan Thomas +165  to beat Matt Brown +210

Matt Brown will get the TAUF betting bump in this fight. He is a not a good fighter and will get punished on the ground

UFC 91 Betting Line: Brock Lesnar vs Randy Couture

Posted on November 12th, 2008 in MMA Betting, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC Odds by admin

UFC 91 betting5 Dimes has just released UFC prop bets and other UFC online betting options for the upcoming UFC 91 Couture vs. Lesnar mixed martial arts MMA fight to determine the UFC heavyweight champion that will take places on November 15, 2008 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This will be the most anticipated MMA fight in history are former WWE star will bring in the main stream crowd. However, with only 3 pro MMA fight Lesnar is still to young in the game of MMA to beast such an experienced veteran like Randy Couture despite him being 45 years olds.

If you read our MMA handicapping report for this fight we stated

Randy Couture is a smart fighter and a technically better wrestler than Lesnar as he was a three-time Olympic team alternate (1988, 1992 and 1996); a semifinalist at the 2000 Olympic Trials; a three-time National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division-I All-American and a two-time NCAA Division-I runner-up at Oklahoma State University. Lesnar had a great NCAA wrestling career but he never faced the world wide competition than Couture has faced. When it comes to wrestling, people think Lesnar has the advantage but it is Randy that has the advantage and is the better technical fighter. While Lesnar has more raw power and speed, Randy will be able to out wrestle Lesnar if this fight goes to the ground due to his experience. Brock just won’t be able to lay on top of Couture like he did with Heath Herring as his wrestling background will be able to get out of those situations. We have seen Lesnar’s top control game but what about his defense game if Randy is able to gain top control. If Couture is able to get the top control I do not see Lesnar being about to get out.

One of our biggest dog betting picks was the Amir Sadollah vs Nick Catone fight but unfortunately Amir Sadollah has withdrawn from his UFC 91 bout against Nick Catone due to a leg infection.
