Strikeforce: Playboy at the Mansion II

  Bet at 5Dimes

Strikeforce Playboy Mansion5Dimes.com have just released their mixed martial arts betting lines for Strikeforce at the Playboy Mansion II which will headline Renato “Babalu” Sobral (30-7) versus Anthony “A-Train” Ruiz (21-11).

Strikeforce will return to entertainment mogul Hugh Hefner’s world-famous Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills, CA with a star-studded lineup of cage fights on Saturday, September 20th.

The event will be chalk for of beautiful women and be set in the famous Playboy mansion which will headline some very good top MMA fighters like Japanese top ten fighters Mitsuhiro Ishida and Kazuo Misaki. Also fight will be UFC star Renato “Babalu” Sobral and Josh The Punk Thompson.

Though the stars are fighter their opponents are not. Most of the be stars will be fighting no name fighters and that has reflected the online mixed martial betting lines at most online sportsbooks

Sports betting wise the card it pretty lopsided and with a lot of the MMA betting lines at -300 for higher for most fights it would take a lot of money just to make a little. If there is an upset than the money that you bet will be gone in a hurry and you will be in the minus.

The good thing is that 5 Dimes is the only online sportsbooks that allows MMA bettors the ability to create parlay bets so now you can minimize you bets with parlays by offsetting large betting lines.

For example Josh Thomson is a-1200 betting favorite. Are you willing to shell out 1200 dollars just to make 100? I certainly would not. But if can off set those betting odds by doing a parlay with the Mitsuhiro Ishida  fight at -370. If you bet on those two fights a 100 dollars bet will net you 37 dollars and you don’t have to shell out 1200 or 370 just to make two hundred dollars.

Now if you are willing to do a 5 fight mixed martial arts parlay for all the fight with all the favorites if you bet 100 dollars you will take home 244.

Strikeforce is putting on easy fights so why not try to maximize the amount you bet with the least amount of money.

If you want to be on the moneyline for these fights the betting odds for Strikeforce are below which are provided by 5 Dimes

Renato “Babalu” Sobral -450
Anthony “A-Train” Ruiz +330

Kazuo Misaki -325
Joe Riggs +255

Josh Thomson -1200
Ashe Bowman +660

Justin Wilcox +300
Mitsuhiro Ishida -370

Cory Devela +170
Terry Martin -215

WEC 36 Betting: Faber vs.Brown and Filho vs. Sonnen

Posted on September 14th, 2008 in MMA Betting, UFC Betting Matchups, UFC Odds by admin

WEC-36: Hollywood, Florida – Live on Versus

  Bet at 5Dimes

5Dimes.com has released the online betting odds for WEC 36. To maximizes your betting profit, we at www.fighting-mma.com suggest  that do parlay bets for this event to lessen some of the betting lines to go in your favor.

Due to the Threat of Hurricane Ike to South Florida the WEC 36 fight has been rescheduled for November 5, 2008 which leaves more time for Paulo Filho (16-0) to get back into game shape.

The co main event has Brazilian Top Team fighter and top ten middleweight fighter in the world, Paulo Filho fighting tough MMA fighter and 2 time NCAA wreslting champion Chael Sonnen who many thought was beating Filho in their first fight. Chael Sonnen was winning the stand up battle but lost due to a verbal Submission by armbar which he claims he did not say.

The two are back to fight each other as Paulo Filho has just completed his substance-abuse recovery program due to addiction to over the counter drugs. Will the lay off and drug problem affect Filho? Is he the same pitbull fighter that was so intimating throughout his 16 and 0 career? The online sportsbooks are still saying yes as he is a -160 favorite but betting on Chael Sonnen at +130 is a very good value bet. But one thing to remember is that Chael Sonnen has lost 5 out his 9 fights to submissions to top level grapplers like Jeremy Horn, Forrest Griffin, Trevor Prangley and Renato Sobral.

But if you break down the fight

Striking: Chael Sonnen
Wrestling: Chael Sonnen
Grappling: Paulo Filho

The main event has top pound for pound fighter in the world Urijah Faber fighting Mike Brown. Brown is not a bad fighter as this ATT product has wins over Jeff Curran and  Yves Edwards. His loses have come to good fighters like Masakazu Imanari, Joe Lauzon, Genki Sudo, and Hermes Franca. At 19 and 4 Brown is a tough competitor. Remember Faber is not unbeatable he has lost in the past and there are still questions out in the MMA world if he has fought top levels guys yet. However his X Factor is his aggressiveness and overall skill. At -370, I thought the lines would be larger so Matt Brown might surprise a few in this fight.

One dog pick fighter to look at is Leonard Garcia who is a up and coming fighter. He will take on an aging Jens Pulver who may have seen better days. At +155, Garcia has much better grappling skills then Pulver.

The best value bet to make is Donald Cerrone -130. At 8 and 0 he might be a name people will be talking about in the next couple of years. He has all of his 8 wins all by submissions which means on the ground he is very dangerous. His opponent Rob “Razor” McCullough’s 3 of 4 loses have come by submission. At -130 this best bet to make in relationship to the MMA betting odds.

All WEC 36 betting lines below

Mike Brown +300
Urijah Faber -370

Chael Sonnen +130
Paulo Filho -160

Leonardo Garcia +155
Jens Pulver -185

Danillo Villefort +195
Jake Rosholt -245

Donald Cerrone -130
Rob Mccullough EV

UFC 88 Breakthrough Prop Bets

Bet at 5Dimes

UFC 88 Breakthrough sports betting props bets are now out at 5 Dimes.com
UFC 88 Betting5 Dimes is the only online sportsbook to offer UFC betting proposition bets, and they have just released exotic wagers for the UFC main event between Chuck he Iceman Liddell and Rashad Sugar Evans.

Many online sports bettors are not giving Evans a chance in this fight but he has been training hard with Georges St Pierre at his Pre UFC camp in Montreal Canada.

Fighting-mma.com UFC betting prediction for this fight was with the online sportsbook odd makers in that Liddell would win this fight but the staff handicapped that this fight would go the distance.

If you bet this UFC prop bet at 5 Dimes to go all three rounds and the distance the betting adds are Liddell/Evans goes distance +100. If you did a parlay in addition to this bet it would offset the large -255 on the Liddell bet.

As a UFC bettor the odds are just a little too steep to wager on Liddell at -285. If you want to wager on Liddell he will win this fight but there are much better UFC bets to lay your money on to get a better betting return. As a wager I would lay my money on a UFC prop bet for this fight to go the distance. Rashad Evans is a very game fighter with good cardio and will be well coached by Greg Jackson. Evans will stick and move in and outside of Liddell range.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will have a star studded line up helping him coach with pound for pound fighter best fighter in the world Anderson Silva and top light heavyweight contender Lyoto Machida while Mir will have one of the top BJJ grapplers in the world helping him in Robert Drysdale. Joseph DuarteThe TUF season 9 will premiere on Sept. 17, 2008 on Spike TV will feature fighters in the 205-pound and 155-pound divisions. After the season is over the two coaches will fight for the UFC heavyweight title. The cast members will represent some very strong MMA team like Shane Nelson from BJ Penn Camp,Team Renzo Gracie, Team Quest and American Top Team. Before the show has even aired the online MMA forums have been buzzing about who has already won the show. Many are pointing Joseph Duarte as the lightweight winner. If you look at Joe Durante he is a beast. Dana White has already commented about how he has found the next Anderson Silva and many believe he was referring to Joe Durante. The lightweight side is stacked with Jose Aguilar who is 17 and 3, Phillipe Nover and Shane Nelson as the early UFC betting favorites.
