PRIDE 33: Second Coming

PRIDE welterweight champion Dan Henderson added the promotion's middleweight crown to his resume Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada, after the tough American knocked out Wanderlei Silva in the main event of "Second Coming." at the Thomas & Mack Center. Dan knocked out the longstanding champion in the third round. This was fight was an instant classic and one of the best fights of the year.

Takanori Gomi, who is considered one of the top pound for pound fighters in the world was beaten by a Gogoplata applied by Nick Diaz. This event was held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada and one of the best shows put on by Pride. Mauricio Rua solidified his status as the top pound for pound fighter in the world with a first round KO over Alistair Overeem. Probably the biggest upset was Frank Trigg who came out of a long layoff to beat the Pride Grand Prix Kazuo Misaki in a 3 round decision.
