What’s the best way to beat your competition? You buy them out. After UFC President, Dana White, purchased the Pride FC organization, he thought there was no more competition against his UFC organization. Well he couldn’t be more wrong.
The former executives and production staff from Pride FC are holding a MMA Event on December 31, 2007 called Yarennoka 2007. They plan to showcase some of the most skilled and talented fighters in the MMA World. Headlining the night will be former Pride Heavyweight Champ and 2004 Heavyweight GP Champ Fedor Emelianenko taking on Hong-Man Choi. Emelianenko has been the reigning Heavy Weight champ since 2003 and he’s unstoppable. He’s a strong crazy Russian fighter. They went full out to lineup the best of the best for Yarennoka 2007. What the future holds after this fight is not known yet, but I can guarantee the Dana Whites pissed off.
The MMA fighting overseas is much more lucrative than fighting in America. Dana White doesn’t pay his fighters what they deserve. So the best fighters struggling to make it big go directly overseas because the can make well over six figure paychecks from a fight or two. In UFC Dana White suckers you into a long term contract that pays you squat for years or a tiny five figure paycheck that’s a mortgage payment or two.
If a new MMA organization starts up again from the current people involved in Pride FC it’s going to take away Dana Whites plan of ruling the MMA World. The better fighters will ALWAYS go to where the moneys at.
