First off this a lightweight MMA fight at 155 pounds and Spencer “King” Fisher (20-3)is a welterweight. He walks around at 170 or above and he has a history of not making weight. Will he be draind from his 15 pound cut to 155? I'm not big Spencer "King" Fisher fan. I feel that the UFC over hypes certain fighters to be good but in reality they are only average. Especially with Miletich Fighting Systems camp fighters. MFS fighters were once considered to be the best camp in MMA but recently they have lost a lot and there seems to be a rift in the MFS camp as some of their fighters are being divided and have left the camp. In addition, don't think their training has been able to adapt.

Yes, Fisher beat Sam Stout in the UFC Fight Night 10 in their rematch, but guess what he should have never lost to a one dimensional fighter in the first place. He has beaten Dan Lauzon, Matt Wiman, Aaron Riley, and Josh Neer who are decent fighters but Frank Edgar is a step above these fighters. He did beat top level fighter Thiago Alves but he lost to Hermes Franca and Fisher is very inconsistent when it comes to his training. He has had trouble in the past cutting weight. This was the cause to his first lost with Sam Stout. Has Fisher learned how to properly trains and diet at MFS when there are constant rumors of divides within the MFS camp?

Fisher seems to have a tough time with hard hitters and he was getting rocked by Dan Lauzon, Matt Wiman and Sam Stout in a large portion of his fights. Will we get a fighter who had to cut too much weight to make 155 pounds again? He walks around at 170 and cutting too much weight has been a problem for him in the past.

Frank “The Answers” Edgar (7-0)  is a tough hard punching well rounded fighter and he doesn’t carry the baggage that Fisher seems to be carrying whether it be weight issues, training properly or cutting weight. Every fight I have seen him in, he has looked good and in control. Yes he will have a hard time with Fisher but I think Edgar has more upside and basic fundamentals whereas Fisher pulls out late heroics to win a fight (flying knee).

Frank Edgar is a machine and looks to have a very bright MMA career. He has very impressive wins over Mark Bocek and hard hitting Tyson Griffin. Frank Edgar has all the tools to be a great fighter due to Fishers inconsistencies and lack of preparation I would take Edgar for a second round TKO upset.

Bottom Line: People like an exciting fighter and I do as well. Fisher is willing to put his body on the line and willing got put on a great show. But by doing so he gets hit and he gets hurt. I feel Edgar is a smart enough fighter to pick his shots and break down Fishers game.

Look for an upset with Edgar beating Fisher at his own game
