Michael “The Count” Bisping (14-0) had a very poor performance versus an average Matt Hamill at UFC 75: Champion vs. Champion and he is a better fighter than his last showing. He won that MMA fight and is still undefeated but his last performance is the main reason why the odds against him to win are so high. Well for online UFC bettors that is good because Bisping IS a better MMA fighter than Rashad “Sugar” Evans (10-0-1) who I feel is still lacking behind in Bisping at a complete fighter.

Bisping is no joke as he is the former Cage Warriors Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion, and former Cage Rage light heavyweight champion. His kick boxing is far superior to Evans. Bisping has a better all round game as he can over power you in the stand up or clinch or submit you which is the major flaw of Evans who just wears down his opponents. What for Bisping to confuse Evans with low leg kicks to nullify his shot attempts and for his to switch from natural to south paw position as he is naturally left-handed, he fights right-handed. The Bisping you see at UFC 79 will be more like the fighter you saw destroy Elvis Sinosic at UFC 70 Nation Collide.

Rashad “in my mind does not have the overall skills to beat Bisping who has more experience fighting in all facets. There is no doubt that Rashad is a natural athlete. He was an All-State wrestler at Niagara-Wheatfield High School and at Michigan State. He was also played both ways on his football team (running back on offense and safety on defense).

He has great cardio but his stand up and jujitsu skills are lacking to Bispings’. Evans is a great wrestler and has vastly improved his stand up but Bisping has a better ground game and stand up skills. Rashad has tendencies to juke and jive his hands while he is fighting which shows that he is more flash than skill with his stand up.

The Count is a much better fighter and if he does not get sucked into Rashad’s game plan he will be Evans. Bisping has better stand up and way better kicks, especially leg kicks. In the stand up he will be able to soften Rashad and if Evans goes for the wrestling takedown Bisping has good enough submission wrestling skills and grappling that he can pull to guard and not let Evans do a ground and pound.

In Rashad’s last fight with Tito Ortiz at UFC 73: Stacked he was able to ground and pound but Tito has no jujitsu skills whatsoever and Bisping will be able to defend Evan’s ground and pound game plan. If Bisping is able to gain top position on Evans it will be over quick as wrestlers hate to be on their back and Rashad has no ground game. In all of his 11 MMA fights he has never submitted anyone.

Bottom Line: Judging but each of their last performances, one would bet on Evans but Bisping has better hands down and will take Evans to the ground and submit him. This is a great bet to make with the books edging on their last performances. Bisping has more experience in MMA as he has fought in major events like cage rage. Evans might be a better fighter one day, but not on November 17.

Take Bisping with a good payout at +210

UFC 86: Jackson vs. Griffin
Quinton Jackson (-245) vs. Forrest Griffin (+195)
This year’s version of the Ultimate Fighter reality series was a pretty much a snooze fest as both coaches were like two class clowns in a school yard. TUF 7 only showed that Quinton Rampage Jackson (23 -6) should never coach mixed martial arts fighters and that whoever trains Forrest Griffin looks like a 12 year old...read more

UFC 86: Jackson vs. Griffin
Tyson Griffin (-345) vs. Marcus Aurelio (+275)
This will be the biggest upset of UFC 86 Jackson vs. Griffin. Tyson Griffin is a very very good fighter but Marcus Aurelio will beat Griffin for a nice payday at +275 at most online sports betting sites...read more

UFC 86: Jackson vs. Griffin
Jorge Gurgel (Even) vs. Cole Miller (-130)
Again why is Jorge Gurgel (12-3) fighting in the UFC? We have said time and time again that Jorge Gurgel has no business being in the UFC. He is only in there because he is friends with Rich Franklin...read more
