This fight's moneyline spread should not be this far apart. But because I am picking the winner I do feel that Forrest Griffin (13-4) will win the fight. But at odds being +190 I’ll lay down a 50 just to make the money. The reason why the moneyline is so off is because Forrest Griffin is a fan favorite and people are laying money on him. It is the same scenario that whenever a fable team plays because their diehard fans will always bet for them.

I do think Forrest Griffin will win this fight but this will be much closer than the sportsbooks are showing the betting public. Hector Sick Dog Ramirez (6-2-1) is a very heavy handed puncher and Forrest has had difficulties with strong punchers. If he gets past the first 30 seconds of the fight he will win. Hector Ramirez is going to open the fight throwing and bum rushing Forrest. If Forrest can get past his stand and trade with everyone he will win this fight. Griffin has way more talent on the ground and he has been working with UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture in his wrestling and takedown skills. Hector Ramirez is basically a one dimensional fighter and Forrest will be able to take him down and control him on the ground and submit him.

Ramirez is part of the Team Oyama camp and he does have the abilty to strike but he has not crossed trained enough to be effective in grappling. My one fault with the UFC is that they would rather put in a fighter who can only punch because that what the American audience only likes. Are we really going back to the Tank Abbott days of ultimate fighting? Sick Dog Ramirez only has a record of 6-2-1. How can you justify putting a person with a record like that in the ring. There are so many better fighters out there. I mean he lost to James Irvin who is just like Ramirez.

All Forest has to do in withstand the first barrage of punches Ramirez he throws at him and them take him down for a submission.

Bottom Line: This is a very risky match but Griffin will pull out a victory. He has better training partners and work ethic compared to Hector Ramirez who can basically only punch. After 30 seconds Hector Ramirez will be too tired and Griffin will take over. Forrest just has more experience in the UFC octagon and has fought better quality opponents like Tito Ortiz, Elvis Sinosic, Jeremy Horn, Ebenezer Fontes Braga, Travis Fulton, Jeff Monson and yes the legandary Dan Severn. Who has Hector fought. Nobody.

The luck will be on this Irish fighter’s side with second round rear naked choke by Forrest Griffin

UFC 86: Jackson vs. Griffin
Quinton Jackson (-245) vs. Forrest Griffin (+195)
This year’s version of the Ultimate Fighter reality series was a pretty much a snooze fest as both coaches were like two class clowns in a school yard. TUF 7 only showed that Quinton Rampage Jackson (23 -6) should never coach mixed martial arts fighters and that whoever trains Forrest Griffin looks like a 12 year old...read more

Tyson Griffin (-345) vs. Marcus Aurelio (+275)
This will be the biggest upset of UFC 86 Jackson vs. Griffin. Tyson Griffin is a very very good fighter but Marcus Aurelio will beat Griffin for a nice payday at +275 at most online sports betting sites...read more

Jorge Gurgel (Even) vs. Cole Miller (-130)
Again why is Jorge Gurgel (12-3) fighting in the UFC? We have said time and time again that Jorge Gurgel has no business being in the UFC. He is only in there because he is friends with Rich Franklin...read more
