Dream's Mixed Martial Arts Props Bets and MMA Parlays at 5 Dimes
Dream 12 marked the return of Kazushi Sakuraba, Yes he fought Dream 11 but he fought a fight that barley anyone knew. With on a couple weeks between fights, Sakuraba stepped back into the ring to fight Zelg Galesic.
A bout between Melvin Manhoef and Zelg Galesic was cancelled after Manhoef had to pull out due to injury. Manhoef was replaced by Kazushi Sakuraba. From the opening bell looked in great form as he went in for a toe pick. Sakuraba than got the takedown and leg lock on Galesic while Galesic was pounding and pounding on Sakuraba. The Gracie Hunter was taking a lot of head shots but would not give up the leg. As Galesic tried to get you Sakuraba rolled into a kneebar and Galesic was forced to tap out.
Top lightweight fighter, Eddie Alvarez showed he is not just a striker as he defeated Katsunori Kikuno with an arm triangle choke submission. The was his 4th submission in a roll. Another stirker turned grappling fighter is Alistair Overeem as he submitted James Thompson with a guillotine choke early in the first round. Grand Prix champ Marius Zaromskis had knock out of the night as he almost knocked off Myeon Ho Bae's head with a kick just 19 seconds into the fight.
In a bizarre event, a fight between Paulo Filho and Dong Sik Yoon was called off after Filho failed to show up. Tarec Saffiedine replaced Filho and the Belgium fighter put on a good show losing by split decision.
The event marked the first time DREAM used a hexagon cage. Fights consisted of three five-minute rounds, as used in the North American system.
