Has the UFC hit its peak and started going downhill? Does Dana White really think we are going to shell out $39.99 for pay per view to watch no name fighters fight at UFC 72 Victory? Is Dana White the next Don King who will take over the next huckster role in combat sports? I think not because I do feel White means the best for mixed martial arts but when you put on a series of crappy show like the one in Ireland and the previous UFC events it does raise some eyebrows. UFC 72: Victory was hardly the price of the pay per view. I also feel sorry for the people in Ireland who paid for this event. First of all there was no belt on the line and second the UFC fight card was so bad that on the UFC 72: Victory posters they had the main event stars featured but the second main event they only showed a picture of Forrest Griffin. Hector Ramirez either missed the photo shoot or was not popular enough to waste ink on. Hector Ramirez is an ok fighter and having him co headline a main event with a record of 6-2 and 1 is quite embarrassing.

No matters what UFC Dana White puts on he has one great main event followed by the three ok fights and four preliminary fights consisting of no names. The UFC is making real money now and we are constantly being feed crappy fight cards for mixed marital arts. This is not a fringe sport anymore, as the UFC is becoming more and more mainstream. Marketing wise the UFC folks are marketing geniuses with their promotions and media tie ins with Spike TV and Xyience Xenergy Supplements to produce the Ultimate Fighter reality show TUF which has created a very loyal following

There is so much talented MMA fighter that Dana White can chose form yet he consistently schedules bad fighter to fight with little pay.

Just look at Pride 33 event with the obvious main event which in my opinion is a superfight between Wanderlei Silva vs. Dan Henderson. Than you had a ton of other great fighters fight like Takanori Gomi vs Nick Diaz, Mauricio Rua vs. Alistair Overeem, Hayato Sakurai vs. Mac Danzig, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Frank Trigg vs. Kazuo Misaki and Joachim Hansen vs. Jason Ireland. Each one of these fights would have been a mina event on the UFC.

Dana White is giving the audience the bare minimum when it comes to his UFC fight cards. He is incorporating the Ford Motor theory. Make it some of it nice and a people will buy. Well guess what that are other organization out there that will rival the UFC. It is like the WWE once they become a monopoly. Vince Mcmahon of the WWE didn’t have to try as hard to put out a product after the he monopolized professional wrestling. This is exactly the settling effect that Dana White it putting out with his UFC cards recently. There is a reason why Frank Shamrock and a host of other fighters won’t fight in the UFC anymore like the Gracie family. If Dana White lets down his guard other organization like Bodog fight will quickly snatch up the MMA talent and put on better shows.

Come on Dana White you have a he pool of fighter talent from Pride and yet you continue to use weak fighter like Rory Singer and Scott Smith from the Ultimate fighter reality show.

If you look at my MMA match ups for UFC bettors on the Forest Griffin and Hector Ramirez I was quite accurate except it went to a decision This UFC pay per view was hardly anything to write home about. I have seen better local fighter fight cards like at Elite or NFC. If this is the way the UFC wants to schedule their events they should honestly hire the schedule maker of Pride.

The next event is UFC 73: Stacked, which better be as the name states since this event was a joke. The line up so far has
