Kimbo Slice Needs Place to Fight?

Now that EliteXC has folded up operations due to lack of income there are a stable of fighters that now need new homes with the most noteworthy attraction none other than Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson. Unfortunately, there are very few places for him to go at this time.
Affliction has been giving huge money to heavyweight fighters in an effort to put on mega-cards but putting Kimbo in with any of their stable of top heavyweights would just result in a Slice defeat and a waste of cash.
Strikeforce has the money to offer Slice and the lack of top heavyweights that could help build up Slice but Strikeforce also is a smaller organization that would not give Kimbo the type of media attention he has come to expect.
Dana White has been quoted numerous times saying that Slice is not a top fighter and would get destroyed by any UFC heavyweight so it appears that an offer for Kimbo to fight in the top promotion is not going to happen anytime soon.
The clear answer for the underground fight legend would be to appear on the next heavyweight edition of “The Ultimate Fighter”. White’s hesitancy to put Slice in with the big boys is evident but not even Dana White could say no if Slice wanted to try to earn his way into the big show.
All the UFC would need to do to make this happen is give Slice a large appearance fee for appearing on the show and you’d have the most-watched TUF season in history because of Slice’s massive following.
On top of the influx in viewers, you’d also be able to include Slice in future UFC events after the show is over and Kimbo has “proven” he belongs. Say what you want about Kimbo, but he is a marketing phenom that gets lots of people interested in his fights.
Getting Kimbo on “The Ultimate Fighter” is a win for the UFC, a win for Dana White, and a win for a suddenly jobless Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson who would become bigger than ever if he were to win the show.
