Is there any doubt that Fedor is the top pound for pound fighter in the world? In defeat, Arlovski (14-6) became the fifth UFC heavyweight champion to fall to Fedor. The list also includes Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Tim Sylvia, Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman. Throw in victories over Matt Lindland, Mark Hunt, and Semmy Schilt Fedor is heads and tails above another fighter.

It took no time to dispose of Arlovski as Arlovski came in with kicks to pressure Fedor but Arlovski got to enthusiastic and jumped for a flying knee and was knocked out cold by a Fedor counter punch at 3:14 of the first round.

Many people have counted out Antonio Rogerio Nogueira as being only the twin brother of Minotauro Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira. He may not get the attention of his brother but many believe that he has better hands and striking than his brother. Both fighters came out swinging and Matyushenko hurt Lil Nog in the second round, but a left hook from Nogueira opens a cut near the right eye of Matyushenko and he is able to finish him off with final knee to the chin.

Kirill Sidelnikov came into the fight known as Baby Fedor but Paul Buentello was able to use his reach and jabs to hurt Sidelnikov. In the end, Buentello’s experience and boxing was too much. The surprise of the night was a 37 second KO of Matt Lindland by Vitor Belfort. At 185 Belfort looks like he will be a force to reckoned with. Belfort knocks Lindland stiff with a left hand and he was out cold for along time and required to be carried off by a stretcher.  

The main question after Affliction is if there will be a third event and will Fedor fight the only top heavyweight he has yet to beat in Josh Barnett.
